Quality, dependability, overall dealer satisfaction. Hands down, if you want to see the USA and not the repair shop, get the Nissan.

Remember the Luv? Izusu is making Chevy motors again.

I looked at Colorados too. I can't understand why Chevy "cut" one cylinder off of the great inline six they use in the Trailblazer and used it in the Colorado. Leave it a six for goodness sake! Also, the interior is not liked either. Again, they should use the Trailblazer dash with it's full instrumentation. I want gauges! The Nissan fits that bill. My truck has a real oil pressure gauge that actually shows a representation of actual oil pressure, and a voltmeter that shows system voltage, though an actual scale with numbers would be nice. That is a Ford issue though. The Chevys have working oil pressure and volt gauges. Ford, well every running condition except 0 shows "N-O-R-M-A-L" LOL.

I know this thread is old but I wanted to chime in.

I was a loyal 2004 Chevy S10 owner and when I needed a new truck I went right to the Chevy Colorado and didn't want to even consider anything else, thinking that the Colorado would be the next logical step from the S10.

But the quality of the truck was so poor and cheap, the options and packages that I wanted didn't exist, and the 5 cylinder engine really turned me off to it, there was no way I would be a 5. Plus the pricing was way out of wack and no good deals.

So I took a look at the Nissan Frontier and it had me at hello. I mean from the ground up it just seamed better in every category, came with the options I wanted, built much higher quality, and the pricing and value was outstanding. I felt like I was getting a really good deal on the truck because it was so good a truck.

My friends raz me a bit for not buying Chevy, but no matter how I slice it the Frontier is just so much better that I can't deny liking it so much and that Chevy just didn't come through. Plus once by friends take a drive with me... the debate is over!   Thanks.

I owned two Chevy 1500's and one Chevy Blazer.  I now drive a Frontier.  "Nuff said.
