I noticed in one of the posts not too long ago that someone found a 3" suspension lift for a 99 Fronty 4x4. Link below...

I'm wondering if anyone has tryed this setup. Is it a complete bolt on or are there other accessories that must also be purchased? If so... what else is needed? Also, Can this be done at home or will a mechanic have to do it?

Thanks

3" Lift

You could probably do that your self since it's just some upper control arms.. you might want to look into getting some shocks and maybe getting an add-a-leaf for the rear, maybe some shackles..

Pretty good price for some uppers!! If you have any questions about Automotive Customizers I would definitely ask Supercharger1, he seems to know quite a bit about the company and was the one who introduced the site to the forum.

3" lift without having to change the position of your front diff... defintley worth the price.

Rear as he said.  Add-a-leaf

I'm sure there will be some minor tweaking necessary, like the alignment and such but it's a small price to pay if you saved a ton of money on the parts for the lift.

Or for the rear, you could check out National or Deaver and see if they have a whole new set of leafs for your truck... they usually run about $500 for the set.

I found out that the kit I asked about in this post is not a complete lift kit. The complete kit is about $800... ouch. Needless to say it didn't happen. Thanks for the replies though.
