I have looked all over for detailed information on how to change this filter.  All the sites I have found have general information with pics of Nissan CARS.  I have been changing this filter for 3 months now and have not gotten any closer.

I got the glove box out.  I have found WHERE the filters go- at least I THINK.  I have taken every bolt/screw out I could find connected to the casing and it STILL will not separate so that I can change the filter(s).

By the looks of things this filter(s) have never been changed.

Please help before I bring in a crowbar and hammer to the party.

Thank you!  Woffie

Thanks for the Welcome.  I searched using the search option and I Did read the post you pointed out.  Looks nothing like the inside under the dash behind the glove box.  I'll see if I can get a pic.

See what I mean?  There is no easy snap open door...no slot I can see to slide the filters into.  Just a top cover and a bottom cover of a housing.  can't figure if the top comes off or the bottom comes off.   I got it cracked open a bit...I can see filters so I know I'm in the right area.  Just have not seen anyone dealing with this style before.

Advice?  Thanks :)

That narrow section between the two ribs on the right needs
to be removed with a utility knife. The filters will go one
on top of the other and the clip will secure them at the
bottom. The instructions should be with the new NISSAN
filters.

There were no instructions or clips.  Just a box with two filters- That's why I'm asking you guys :)

Thanks for the Direction...I'll give it a shot this weekend.

I have the same type of truck too woffie! I am checking it out right now. I will get back to you soon about the cabin air filter. I believe that the 01  frontier does not have an air filter. I have the Haynes Owner Manual in hand, and it does not say anything about a cabin air filter anywhere! I will get back with you.
