I have a n 04 frontier and am doing an electric fan conversion. The Spal Fan controller has a wire which shopuld be attached to the water temp sensor. My truck has two sensors right after the radiator hose enters the block. One looks like a 3/8" threaded sensor with one wire. The next sensor looks like 1/2" threaded sensor with two wires and apears to be made by Bosch. Could anyone tell me which sensor wire I should tap into? The Spal directions are vauge and I couldn't find a manual anywhere on Maui.

chances ar ethat one is a coolant level sensor and the other is the one you want.  I would guess the single wire sending unit is the one you want.  To test, simply unhook the wire and check for temp lights, then take a jumper wire and ground the stud directly to the frame somewhere, recheck for lights.  If this is the temp sending unit, you'll get a temp. warning light on the dash.  If I am wrong, you'll get a coolant level warning light on the dash.  These tests are harmless and very easy to do.  That's what I do at work anyways.  It seems to work on chevs and diesels.  Make sense?  or you could do the ssame tests with the truck running and the temp sending unit will be tricked into turning the fan on!  Then you'll know for sure.
