zac_christy;

Welcome to the group!

Please read the last two posts on the first page of this thread about 4x4 conversions.

Several people have managed to do it. I have been a Line Mechanic and I would not do it. Here is a link to ‘Sand Bag’

http://nissan4wheelers.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/108603133/m/43 710989731?r=48510599731#48510599731

You didn’t state which link wasn’t working. This thread is well over a year old.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

There was a time when some people got rich buy providing a better product at a lower price.

Now they get rich by ripping us off and paying off the politicians. Can you spell DEREGULATION

There is no "How To" on doing this also there is no KIT most of it is bolt on you really need to have some mechanical ability also locating parts can/will be $$$ you really need to decide how much its worth to you to do I have well over 3k invested and I still want to add lockers which is 1K each. this was mine daily driver so down time was a big thing.

With all that said would I do it again YES some people would say sell it and go buy a 4x4 but you have to decide what you want to do no one else if I could do it over I would go a differant direction with it since the truck now sits in the garage now and its a toy now I might SAS it

Anyone used any of the Calmini products?  Specificaly the 5" lift for the 05-07 Frontiers.  I am looking at getting one and I am just curious about the quality of their products.  And I know this sounds crazy but I am curious what kind of drop in MPGs should I expect if I go from 31" tires to 33"?  If any one know or has heard anything please let me know, thanks

Hey Guys I am getting ready to purchase my first lift-kit ever and I am not to sure of the benefits of the different types of kits, can some one please help me out i don't want to spend a ton of money only to find out I bought the wrong kit.  What is the main difference between kits that drop your axle down (Calmini, Spencerlow and Fabtech) and spacer kits or extended springs that push the suspension down.  Any or insights would help alot, thanks!

hey, i did a budget boost.i have the leveling kit from prg. then i put 33x12.5x17 procomp xtreme a/t on it, i had to trim my fenders a couple of inches. kinda sucks. so i would deffinetly go with a larger lift, 33's might not cut in then though

Looks good, I dig the black and alum wheels against the black paint.  I just ordered the Gibson Exhaust how do you like that? Also what kind of mileage decrease did you get with the 33's.

Alright Boys im new to this forum and i am in need of some sites to locate some parts for my 02 frontier 4 door se. I have been searching like crazy for a safari rack for the frontier and have come up short. my next bet is to just custom build one but the time is limited to do so. I am also looking for a tire rack that sits on the tailgate but i think that is going the have to be custom as well. Im running mickey atz right now i was wondering what has everyone else been running with good traction on trails, mud and rocks, i was considering tsl but anyone had any luck with thornbirds i have heard mixed emotions over them. anyways let me know thanks.

don't even think about thornbirds. Many mag reviews have them pegged as
the worst tire ever develloped. They are very loud, very heavy, and the only
parrt that actually gets any traction in the mus is the massive side lugs (the
ones that stick out sideways from the sidewalls).
try ARB and TJM for safari racks, and maybe even automotive customizers
good luck

Check out Nitto. So far, nothing but good luck with em. Good looking, farely agressive, decent on-road traction, good off-road, and not extremely loud. Good magazine and online reviews. Well except for the occasional bad review from guys with big fat heavy Chevys and Dodges and such. Check them out when you get a chance. Got a pic or two in my gallery if you're interested.
